New ‘Avengers’ Stills Dropping Like Gangbusters
I’m running out of catchy expressions to use for all of the ‘Avengers’ stills that keep coming out every other day. 12 new hi-res ‘Avengers’ stills come from the spanish movie site Marvel-Heroes.blogspot. There’s even a new look at Cobie Smulders at Agent Maria Hill. The first ‘Avengers’ teaser trailer (not attached to Captain America) is rumored to be be attached to prints of ‘Real Steel’. There will also be exclusive ‘Avengers’ footage shown at next week’s New York Comic-Con as well.
‘Avengers’ is set to hit theaters on May 4th, 2012.

EW’s Official ‘Avengers’ Stills
It seems most people are in agreement that EW’s ‘Avengers’ cover is a prime example of terrible photoshopping. At least EW’s “official” ‘Avengers’ stills make up for that awful cove. I can’t wait for a scene with Black Widow and Hawkeye just dropping
peopleSkrulls with deadly accuracy. I will also take any opprotunity between now and the release of ‘The Avengers’ to post pictures of Scarlett Johansson in that fantastic Black Widow costume.

‘The Avengers’ Lack Luster EW Cover
EW is calling their new issue “The First Look At The Avengers”, but lets be honest, if you’ve been on the internet in the last two months you’ve seen tons of Avengers set photos, and far more interesting ones too. This image also horribly jumbled. I’d love an impressive looking promotional photo of the team assembled but this looks rushed. It looks like EW took a few character promotional images and attempted to arrange them to look like a team. I’m pretty sure that Mark Ruffalo isn’t even in costume on this cover. He just showed up looking all Mark Ruffalo-like.

40 Films That Need Comic-Book Sequels
1. Blade Runner
The Film: Moody, mind-bendy sci-fi from Ridley Scott following burnt-out future cop (or ‘Blade Runner’) Deckard as he chases down superhuman beings (or ‘Replicants’).
The Comic-Book Continuation: What we want – more Blade Runners, more shifty Replicants and more neo-noir intrigue. What we don’t want – stuff set in space.
Essential Element: Rainy imagery and neon-blushed cityscapes. Is it too much to ask that each issue also comes with a Vangelis CD?
